Default ls1 maf to 5.3?

Is anyone aware if the ls1 maf is able to be used on a 5.3l. Im doing a swap, and i was looking at a cheap stock trans am maf. 5.3 is a 2000, ls1 is a 1999.

Truck maf has a intake temp sensor in it ls1 maf dosent also different connectors due to that

I would think ultimately it would depend on which harness/pcm your're using.

Yes you can use the MAF. You may ahve to update the PCM tables though. Anyone know if this is true or not?

You wouldn't have to update the maf tables but you would have the rewire the 5.3 harness to accept the ls1 maf and ad a plug for an intake air temp sensor. For what your doing just buy a truck maf

Yeah... it just came in today and the ls1 maf doesnt have a connector. Im using a 5.3 harness. Thanks for the help everyone!

Alright I bought a sopposed 5.3 maf because the ls1 maf doesnt work. And now the new maf that I bought doesnt connect to the harness either. The harness I have is said to be a 2000 silverado harness and the maf is said to work on all 5.3s from 2000+. Maf id- 25168491 Ecu id- 12200411

The MAF in the ebay picture is the correct one for a 5.3 truck.

You're either looking at the wrong connector or your harness has been modified.

Thats what I assumed, ill do some more checking on the harness...
