Default Just another turbo 5.3 in a lt1 bird build

I finally have made enough progress to make build thread. I had my 1st car 95ta sitting in my garage for 2 years due to a laundry list of little problems with the old Lt1. A few months ago my buddy convinced me to swap in a ls engine. I have been keeping track of costs just in case anyone would like to see what it costs. The plan is to run a master power t70 home brewed front mount kit. I will be building the turbo kit after i get all the bugs worked out of the initial swap. I will be doing all the supporting mods like vertical radiator and notching the frame in the front before i drop the motor in. Pics are on the way

The motor will remain stock besides the ls6 intake. As far as the turbo kit goes it will be a truck manifold kit with a master power t70 and a cheap ebay air to air intercooler. As far as parts go
2003 5.3 60k with tranny harness and all acc. freeish traded
Ls6 intake $150
Ls1 oil pan $75
LS1 water pump $45
Alternator bracket $10
Napa belt $55
Bolts $6
Power steering pump and bracket free thanks Joe
02 ws6 kmember complete w/ steering brakes sway bar and engine mounts $75
$416
items ive sold off the engine or car to offset the cost.
Truck harness and computer $160
Old lt1 $800
Lt1 computer $75
5.3 water pump $15
5.3 maf $25
5.3 Radiator $50
$1125
So right now i am $709 up.

Now is the best time to clean that engine bay, You'll regret not doing it later.

Updates? I thought the 5.3 didn't have mounts on the block for something you needed to run the F-body accessories? Like an alternator mount or maybe AC? This is what has stopped me from stock-piling parts to do a 5.3 swap on my 93Z, the motors are so cheap and with simple bolt ons they will put out more power and get better mileage than the LT1.
