Default PCM fan question

I know all the 2005 and up trucks had electric fans. Can 2003 and 2004 PCMs be programmed to run electric fans?

I have an issue between where I bought my engine and my harness guy/tuner and I need some information before I go any further

Thanks

Yes, all Vortec truck PCM's are capable of controlling electric fans. PCM needs programmed correctly in order for this to happen.

I cant remember what the pins are, but the truck PCM has one wired already. That one is used for the recirc damper control on the HVAC system in the truck, the Fbody PCM use the same pin for fan control. The other pin the truck PCM is empty and youll have to add it. You have to reprogram the PCM to tell it there is E fans and also make sure that if you are using HP Tuners that you confirm with them that the version of the program you are using makes the change over happen properly.
