Default RCR Superlite Coupe build

This is the car I'm building. 2200lbs, mid engine, LS7, Ricardo 6 speed transaxel. Should be a mean street ride!

"Street ride"... wow. Nice build. They seem to have some really nice cars to build.

You seem to be done, how far along are you?

Very nice. what is the length from the Center of the axle to the front of the accessories..? I was considering doing something crazy with a setup that that... my secret sleeper project.. (one day I'll get it started).

I should have mine ready to drive by fall. The two pictures of the finish car are of the shop car at RCR. I'll get some pics of mine, I made naca ducts under the doors on mine to duct air to transmission oil and engine oil coolers. I fabricated the rear clip hinge and gas strut attachment points and front clip hinge, along with other stuff.

From the front of the engine to axle center is 36". From axle center to the rear of the transaxle is 20.5"

It's not really a kit, when I think of a kit, Factory Five is what I see. There are 28 of these at this time. It comes as a roller, doors not hinged, body sitting on the frame and wheels and tire. All of the fluid and gas lines have to be run, complete wiring, and a lot of body cutouts. No engine or trans axel. The body is gelcoated to your color preference. $43k

Default LED tail lights

Doe's anyone know of a site with a good assortment of LED tail lights. I need some 4' round and 4 1/2" round tail lights. I really like the 2005 and up Corvette tail lights, but they are so damn expensive. Thanks, Al

ebaker,

Go to the GT40s.com forum and to the RCR sub-forum. There is a "sub" sub-forum devoted to the SLC. There are now over fifty being build and several now on the road. Two notable SLCs are being campaigned, one will be at the 25 hrs @ Thunderhill this year. The factory SLC just won the SuperUnlimited class at NASA for 2011.

Thanks cantdrive55, I've already joined up on GT40s.com forum and have started my own questions thread. I'm thinking about building mine as a RHD car for the Texas Mile in a few years. What part of Texas are you from? I'd love to make a trip to check out your car.

Default tail lights

I have 4 tail lights out of an 87 Corvette, they are about 4 or 4.5 inches in diameter, I'll measure them tomorrow if you're interested, make me an offer. They have about 30k miles in them.

San Angelo.....my newly built shop is near Christoval. My car is not completed as yet. I had a 1 year hiatus while moving and then building a shop. But, you or anyone is welcome to visit.
