Default LQ4 which heads should I use

I am not sure what haeds to use, should I use the L92 heads , 243 heads to bump compression, or just shave the 317, I will be using the 228r texas speed cam, and ls6 intake that I would have to buy if i use the ls6, or 317 heads. thanx

With the LS6 intake you cannot use the L92 heads - they are a rectangular port head and the LS6 is for cathedral ports. I have an LQ4 shortblock and am using LS3 (L92) heads with a stock LS3 intake.

Another Rochester, NY guy in here What kind of car are you swapping this into?

I'll be dropping my engine in sometime this spring. It'll be an LQ4 bottom end, 243 heads, LS2 intake, Fast 90 with a TSP 228R cam, 4L80E going into a second gen Camaro.

I'm over in Irondequoit about 30 ninutes from you in Kendall. This will be my first LSx swap into the car, I've had it for about 14 years. I need to get that damn thing painted one of these days the laquer is cracking and spidering from sitting so damn long.

That wouldn't have been you selling the engine and tranny on Craigslist was it?
