Mechanical Speedometers and the 4L80E?
Has anybody been able to make an original cable driven speedometer work on the 4L80E?
A friend is putting a 6.0L with a 4L80 E in a 67 Camaro. He would like to keep the stock gauge if at all possible.
Thanks,
Ken

FWIW, I tried a few searches. I guess I didn't have the right keywords.

That's exactly what I was thinking...A motor that drives the cable driven speedo. Makes sense.
Since they are about the same price and the guy that owns the car is old school he's going to order the tailhousing kit from Shiftworks.
Thanks everyone!
