oh and far as the vbands on the cast manifolds i guess you just have to heat the manifolds first and make sure theyre very clean before you weld on them. or so im told

thanks for the info man
i didnt do any oif the welding or fabbing. im not that guy. my buddy did it. he wanted to put the wastegate off one tube only i told him to put it in the merge and thats what he did. like i said its temporary so im not worried about it. its actually an easy fix just some cutting and rewelding. im so far away from the car being running that this is one of those things ill deal with next year

Stress releive the welds with a small hammer and let them cool slowly. I used SS309 rod and it seemed to work pretty well. Clean, clean and clean again before doing it and it will go much smoother. The ones I welded last were not cleaned before they were tacked in place and it made welding them a LOT more difficult.

i "talked" to my buddy and hes gonna run a tube from each bank pipe at a 45* angle and merge it into the existing pipe and patch the existing hole. thanks for your input guys. i didnt think it would be a big problem but after doing some research you guys were right. that wouldnt have worked at all.

on a 302 ford kit i fabbed up i installed the wastegate on the outside radius of the pipe on the crossover...it seemed to work great...a big problem most people have is with boost creep and where they reference boost for their wastegate....best place to run your line is from the compressor housing to the wastegate..make sure it isnt shared with anything else.
