Default LT1 to LS1 engine harness.

Looking for some guidance on what would be the best place to send my LT1 F-body harness to get converted to an LS1 F-body harness.

I'm doing an LS swap into my 94 Z and trying to make it as painless as possible.

Thanks.

We can convert it, or build you a brand new plug and play harness with the factory firewall grommet. We specialize in harnesses for 4th gen fbodies.

Just do it yourself, it really isnt very difficult. There are a ton of good wiring resources on this site.

I have read a few of the write up's, however I'm still a little uncomfortable trying this on my own.

Thanks for the inspiration merv! I have read one of your write ups. You seem very knowledgeable in wiring, and any advice you want to throw my way is greatly appreciated.

Do I need a complete LS1 harness to merge with the LT1 harness? If so does it matter if it is a m6 or a4 harness?

What are you building?

There is only one connector that needs to be switched over from the LT1 Engine Harness onto the LS1 Fbody Harness..so I would go to the Junkyard and clip that connector from a V6 mid 90's Fbody and integrate it onto the LS1 Harness, and then you can sell your LT1 Harness.

I have a 94 Z28 that I'm swapping in a LQ9.

I didn't think it would be that simple. What connector would that be?

Okay...just to be clear if I use an LS1 F-body harness than I only need to change that one connector (C210)? And I'm assuming that I would need an A4 harness if I want to use my original 4L60E?

You need to change much more than just one connector....

You integrate that connector, aswell as change the placement of wires on the existing connectors that are there.

I've been busy working all day so to judge what I've posted without giving me a chance to explain is it going a little far..lol..

All I have is quite a few functioning harnesses in builds of my own aswell as others..so I must be doing something right.

LISTEN to MERV, i followed his threads on the wiring conversion, it is very easy. i did my own and would not hesitate to do it again, plus you get a great feeling of knowing YOU DID IT. Trust me when i say you will be happier with the end result!
