Default FirstPasses in the 408LS mustang

After all the money and aggravation, today made it all the worthwhile. It was the first day out with the car and actually my first time ever down the track at all. I had no idea what the car was going to do since the whole suspension was redone this past week. I had a blast and the car worked great!

Best pass was 10.31 at 133..I think there is a little more in the ET with some seat time and some suspension tuning. Over the winter I'm gonna get the right converter in the car and shoot for 9's on motor

What suspension do you have in the rear?

Actually just re-did the entire suspension. All Team Z stuff in the rear...Anti-roll bar, Dbl Adj relocated uppers, Dbl Adj lowers, Strange 10-ways, and V8 springs with a coil cut.
Front end has an AJE K-member, Team Z A-arms, coilovers with 12-150 spring and Strange 10 ways

Car works perfectly, hooks great and goes pin straight

I honestly think the car had more in it just the way it is but I wasn't leaving nearly hard enough. Should have been leaving a lot harder off the transbrake but I guess I was a little nervous to break something. Next time I'll stop being a B@#$h and drive it!

Looks good.

Get the converter fixed and leave on kill it will fly.

My first time out I went 10.00 3 trips and a rear gear change it went 9.66 keep messing with it and it will go 9's

Thanks a lot Tim, I'm gonna end up with a converter similar to yours I think. Something like an 8" 5200 stall. Should really wake it up. Between that and some seat time I think I'll get there. thanks for your help!

What are you shifting at.

Mine goes 62-6300 on a 7200 shift

I was shiftin around 6600. It's a 9 1/2" converter that stalls about 4000. It's not optimal for my setup, I bought it from someone that used it behind a nitrous lS1 motor

I would shoot for 59-6000. No tighter. You will prob end up shifting at closer to 7000.
