Bob's 77 C-10 Stepside
I have been doing this swap for a couple months now. I met Bob at Hunt Valley Horsepower and during conversation he told me about this truck he had and how bad the gas milage was. After I showed him my Chevelle we decided to put the LS/4L60E in the truck. Here is the truck when dropped at my house. Complete and running with the new engine wrapped in the back. I had Bob get the engine and trans from Bow Auto in New Hampshire from Ebay. This is the same placeI got my engine from.

Got the engine and trans out!
The truck manifolds that came with the engine wouldn't fit between the frame rails without some clearancing. I had these F-body manifolds laying around and they fit well.
With the trans in the and the motor mount adapter selection, I got lucky and the driveshaft went right in and didn't have to be cut. I unbolted the crossmember and moved it back and drilled a couple holes and bolted it in.

The column shifter linkage fit perfectly with no adjustment.
I aquired these Yukon engine covers to dress it up. Yeah I know it says 6000, But I figured whet the hell.
This is going to be where the PCM is going to be mounted.
I didn't have the flanges for the F-body manifolds so I cut them off and welded some pipe to the ends.

I was trying to figure out a way to mount the PCM and came up with this. I made it out of a piece of 3/4" angle and 3/8" tubing. I then welded four 1/4" x 1" bolts to the corners for mounting studs.
I just bolted it to the four bolts that hold the PCM together.
The SBC radiator has one of the heater hoses routed to it so instead of blocking it off I made an adapter to connect the steam tube to it. I took the heater hose nipple out of the SBC and pressed a fitting into it that had a 1/8" pipe thread then welded them together. I put a brass 1/4" nipple into the adapter and connected the hoses.

I bought it from a member on this forum. He told me it was from Dakota Digital. It screwed directly into the head, I put it in the passenger side, and had the same connector end that the factory old school sensor had so I didn't have to modify. It works perfectly.

I charged him $1500.00 for the labor. Engine and trans prices vary, but I think he has about $3300 in the whole thing. Would have been several hundred cheaper but he wanted A/C. Holley bracket, compressor and modified hoses cost close to $500 I think.

You can put it on a trailer and spend the weekend driving it to me. Might be able to meet half way. I would need half the money paypal to me ahead of time. You supply the parts and they can be shipped to me. If you really want me to do this for you PM me and I will discuss it.
