Default thought I had a ls3 intake but my ls3 map sensor won't fit....help!

My intake is rectangle port and it has the map location behind the TB but for one thing the map sensor I got for a ls3 doesn't go into the hole at all. The part with the o ring that goes into the intake is too wide for the hole. And the intake has no other hole for the hold down screw.

Any thoughts?

It is more than likely an L76 intake of an G8, etc. I believe they use the clip on style

Doesn't even get up to the o ring before its too the sensor is too big to fit. And it is a ls3/76 with rectangle ports....I'm stumped!

If you don't have any pics it might be worth taking some.

I know what you mean but it's really hard to say for sure what the issue might be without seeing it. Someone else has for sure been in your situation but without pics we are all sort of guessing what the problem might be. I ended up using an ls1 maf on my ls3 intake.

Well did more research and looks like I have a l76 intake. L76 intake only has the hole for the map to seat into the intake. Now everywhere I look I cannot find a l76 map sensor. All searches come back with the gm number for the ls3 map. Which I already know doesn't fit.

Any one know of the l76 map part number? Auto zone and rock auto both show a ls3 map....

Thats the one in the second link i sent.
I looked up 04 GTO on advance auto parts website. That is the clip in style.

So that is NOT the one you need?

I'd assume the one pictured above is what I need. I just hope I don't have to modify my harness more....Since I planned to run the lingenfelter map sensor adapter because my wiring harness was not modded for it when I got it done. Told them ls3 intake and they left map sensor on the back of intake.....
