Default foxbody swap driveshaft ????

Those that have done the swap. Did you stick with a stock driveshaft that you had shortened and balance?

A custom made one?

I just did my gears in my stock 5.0 notch and I have the dreaded D/S vibration. I am debating on having my d/s balanced or just wait until I am ready for my swap. But, I wanted to know what folks on here did with their swaps.

I had a fordracing aluminum one shortened when I did the ls1/t56 swap. I have a 4l80e and had to have it lengthened. so you will not know until your swap is in and measured. depending on how long until you tear it apart, I would probably get it balanced, cant cost too much..

4.8 with a 4l60e. My biggest thing is I want to drive it now with the 373's I just put in but I dont want to tear anything up. I have heard balancing a stock driveshaft doesnt do much but I will look back into it if you guys arent having issues with a stock driveshaft. New u-joints will probably improve things too.

Im going through this right now, my initial guest is the stock 5.0 one is 2.5 inches too long. Im using AJE K-member and AJE cross member. I have to find my tape measurer to get closer specs. Im using a swap u-joint to connect a 27 Spline Slip Yoke.

Had Dennys build me one, 3 inch steel 1030 u joints hooked to a TKO-600 on one end and a Ford 9 inch on the other end.
