1991 240sx LQ4 build
So I have went through a few stages with my car over the years but here is were I am at now. I have always loved 240sx's and after a long search I found a complete rust free coupe with a blown motor. I pulled the motor, did an sr20det swap, wheels, suspension, and a few other things. After a bit I decided to opt out of building the sr20 and move over to the dark side with a v8 swap. So after a little more searching and research I bit the bullet and bought a lq4 long block. It was almost complete and the previous owner said it was pulled out of a 2005 silverado that was in a collision with around 70k miles. Well now I'm in the proccess of tear down and am making progress slowly but surely. I would like to have it up an running for next summer but we will see!
Plans are, rebuild the lq4, mild build with cam and heads, t56 trans, and destroy lives. This is just a fun all around street/ track car, drag mostly, I am no drifter.

Doing some body work and doing a silvia front end swap
Picking up the new motor
lol I did it again. v8 in a civic BAM
hot water and soap trying to clean the lq4 intake lol. I am going to run the lq4 intake with no hood for a bit. Just to save money and spend it elsewhere on the swap.
tearing the motor down, so good so far, pretty clean
mmmmm yea... gonna need new cam bearings, anyone know what causes this?
That is it for now. Updates soon, planning on getting everything hot tanked, new bearings, arp bolts, gaskets and such, and throwing it all back together.

I'm in love with the wheels, the stance, and the engine choice. i prefer drifting so ive always wanted a 240sx. if i can get one cheap i wanna make a drift car out of it with my lt1 thats getting replaced with an lq4. this thing is badass tho

Thanks man appreciate it. I love going to drift events but I am too big of a puss to drift myself, if I went into a wall I would probably cry. lol. As for 240 shells, it is becoming increasingly hard to find a clean shell, they are all beat to **** and have really bad problems with frame rail rust if you live anywhere with snow. But keep searching, took me 6 months to find this one and I picked it up for 1200 with a blown motor.

I spy some Ohio plates. What area? The stickers appear to be county 33 tags, but its pretty blurry.
I'm in Stark county. I also daily a 7th gen civic. I'll have to remember that a V8 will fit without the seats.
