New Hooker 3rd-gen F-Body LS swap System Preview
Hey guys, time for a new thread for the next LS swap system of components working its way through the Hooker development pipeline. I'm posting a few initial images here of the prototype parts and will post some additional images of a set of pre-production headers at the end of next week.
Here's the overall list of parts that will be available once everything is released:
1.) 1-3/4" and 1-7/8" long tube headers
2.) Engine mounting bracket kit
3.) Modular transmission crossmember, which provides for installation of a
4L60-4L70, T56/T56 Magnum, 4L80/4L85, TH400 or 2004R
transmission. The design features a divorced adjustable torque arm
bracket that works with all these transmissions
4.) 2.5" dual exhaust system that connects directly to the Hooker long-tube
headers and is compatible with all the listed transmissions
The engine mounting geometry was designed around the Hooker 302-2 pan and would be compatible with a notched stock 4th-gen pan also; the bottom of the 302-2 pan rests just above the bottom of the engine K-member.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding any aspect of this swap system and I'll do my best to answer them as completely as possible.

I've heard nothing regarding that application, but that sometimes doesn't mean much as I merely execute the design of swap application components that those above me decide upon doing.

That Hooker Corvette set must be one of the most popular sets of all. BB and SB. They have been making them for ever. Now all those cars are getting upgraded to LS engines. Mine included. Covers a lot of years. 1963 to 1982

You'll be able to purchase the headers in mild steel or stainless steel versions. The collectors on all our LS swap headers have 3" outlets; long-taper reducer cones are included on the inlets of the dual exhaust system to provide connection to the headers. The headers and engine mounting brackets should be available within 30 days.

The parts have not been released into our system yet, so the possibility to pre-order a set doesn't exist at this point. I will get you a part number on Monday, so you'll have it once they are available.

If someone has it in their mind that they want a single pipe system on their car, I'm not going to tell them they're wrong for thinking that way.

Update for 8/11/15
Everything is moving along on schedule with the development of these 3rd-gen components and I thought I'd share some pics of a set of 1-7/8" pre-production headers on the car...fitment is as expected with great clearance everywhere.

You haven't missed it as I've not posted any pricing or part number information yet. Your total cost will depend on a few variables, such as the type of header material you choose, the transmission you are using and where you choose to buy the parts from. I'll be posting part number and suggested retail price info next week.

Toddoky,
thats a very nice exhaust system IMHO

Thanks for posting your thoughts. Yes, I think the timing of this development project is real good relative to the amount of 3rd-gen swaps I've noticed being undertaken. There also hasn't been good compatibility support for the 4L80/4L85 transmission from either the header or transmission crossmember suppliers to date, so the fact that we've got that covered well will be especially good news to those planning on going with one of those transmissions.
