Default 1983 C10 LS3 whipple supercharged 418

Here is a truck I built the engine for that was on the cover of street trucks magazine. It also made number 10 on the list for street trucks of 2015.

1984 c10

Ls3 418 with a whipple supercharger.

I'm not really sure hes never weighed it yet. We had it on the dyno and it make 667 to the wheels. truck has a lot more in it but jeff is happy with those numbers. When jeff told me he was building this I figured it would a simple quick build. If u look close to the pics ull see some of the stuff he did that is just truly amazing. I'm not a truck guy but this is one truck Id love to own.

I will ask you since you built it. If the owner doesn't beat on it, how would the addition of the Whipple affect the durability/reliability of the engine as opposed to going turbo. Lets say 12lbs of boost in both. I know what to expect out of the turbocharged one and I know the Whipple will produce a little less peak HP. Wondering about things like main engine bearings/belt replacement with the Whipple etc. My next build is going to be a nightmare with packaging for the turbos. BTW, congrats on the magazine coverage.

The durability/reliability in my opinion relies on a good tuner. Ive seen guys beat the **** out of stock engines boosting the hell out of them. I cant remember the guys name on here but I know he had a stock 5.3 he boosted the hell out of. It was in a Camaro. Cant remember who tuned it but I believe he was pushing the motor as far as it would go. I think he just made over 800hp and a rod let loose. It was a while ago and cant remember his tech screen name.

The one that comes with the 2010-2013 ls3 camar 2.9 Whipple supercharger kit. I'm in the process of putting a ls9 supercharger on my 2002 Camaro ss. I plane on using the zr1 air to water cooler and the pump

The fuel system is all aeromotive. That's one thing with this truck he wouldn't listen to me on. What I wanted him to do is buy one of Lonnies performance twin in tank kits. I like the idea of how u have 2 pumps with lonnies kits.
