Default 1959 IMPALA 06 LS2 WITH AUTO TRANS-suspension and brakes?

I have been following a few threads and so far pretty set on LS2 for my conversion. I have a 59 impala that i want to look stock on the exterior and interior but engine compartment will be LS2. Looking for good suggestions on suspension and brakes and power steering? Looking to run the 14's and looking for a 4 wheel disc conversion. As far as suspension i'm really stumped--as I would love to purchase Ridetech thats just really out of my price range so looking for good springs and shocks. Then power steering not sure which to go with 500 or 605. Possibly CPP.

Any and all info would be appreciated,

I have an LSx powered 1961 Impala with CPP upper and lower control arms in the front and one of their big brake kits. My brakes won't clear factory wheels, but contact CPP and see what other offerings they have. I believe they have something for the factory wheel crew.

I'm running factory replacement springs with decent shocks and hydroboost brakes. With the current list of upgrades, it drives like a completely different (more modern) car. I'll be installing the Global West setup soon, but I have a few more things to accomplish first.

My build for that car is also on ChevyTalk - http://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/sh...hp?tid/332208/

I believe even when factory discs were introduced as an option back in the 60's, 15" wheels were required.

Be leary of CPP's products. I had an upper control arm come apart while driving and am very lucky to have not been in an accident. The designs of the arms uses the retaining bolt as the pivot point for the control arm because the cross shaft isnt the width of the entire a arm. Anyone that has rebuilt stock control arms will see the issue.

Did it shear the bolt off or did the bolt just back all the way out?

It does look like a bolt sheered, curious as well. That combined with the stack of spacers......

I see CPP hate from time to time on another forum I belong to -67-72chevytrucks.com - but then it seems that literally everyone runs their drop spindles. I ordered a 4 wheel disc brake kit from them and though I have yet to install it the parts are really impressive.
