Default ls2 Alternator

I purchased a LS2 crate motor and am using 2005 C6 Alternator and p/s bracket. Will an alternator from any other application fit. I am having trouble getting an alternator for a 2005 C6 and they are expensive - $450.00.

Any thoughts and direction will be helpful.

LS1 alternators are expensive too. You might try calling up the place that bought all of the train-wrecked 2005 GTOs as I think they're parting them all out. Nordstrom's Auto.

LS1 alternators aren't that expensive. I bought a used one for 40 bucks, and traded it in at AutoZone for a reman for 90 bucks. 130 dollars for a rebuilt alternator isn't bad at all.

Not sure if they fit though, have a picture of the bracket?
