Feeler: Anyone else want a new L92 $3500?
UPDATE:
I purchased 4. I only need 1. Official for sale thread here:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...82#post8880682
I have an oportunity to buy a couple new unused L92 6.2Ls intended for 08 Denalis and Escalades. They are complete intake-pan w flexplate, injectors, coils, water pump, intake, exhaust manifolds.
They do not have EMC, Harness or accessory drive.
I have to buy at least two to get the price break.
They make 403 HP and 417 flt-lbs stock in the Escalade!
Who's with me?
$3500

Question on L92 are these gm part # 19165485?
so these L92 6.2Ls intended for 08 Denalis and Escalades have DOD?
This is gm part # 19165485?
what would be the deal with shipping?
can you get gm part # 19201992 the LS3 instead as I don't want to deal with DOD stuff for the same price.
The price difference on GMpartsdirect is $29.00 and SPparts is $212.01

The deal on these is GM's Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban, Denali plant is here in Janesville.
A local yard got a few of these and 1 aluminum block 5.3 as GM overstock. They are not listing the GM part # but they have the truck intake and so I assume the VVT and DOD. If a LS3 was available for the price I would go there also.
As far as shipping, they are on pallets. I have to buy a quantity of at least two to get the price. I was planning on picking them up (in my pick-up). I assume they could be frieght shipped on the pallets. I'll better secure them as needed.
The best/easiest way to swing this is if you could physically pick them up. That way you could see them b4 exchanging $. But, if shipping is needed I'll do it so I can get my engine at the discounted rate.

I am not sure about the 08 Denali's but I have an '07 Denali Xl with 6.2 and it is rated at 380HP with no DOD. I think only the Escalade which is rated at 403HP has DOD. Either way sounds like a good deal.

Per Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_Vortec_engine
6200
The 2007 Cadillac Escalade has a 6.2 L Vortec 6200 (RPO L92) engine. It is an all-aluminum design which, while still a pushrod engine, boasts variable valve timing, a first in a mass-produced non-overhead cam V8 engine. The system adjusts both intake and exhaust timing between two settings. This engine produces 403 hp (301 kW) and 417 ft·lb (565 N·m) in the Cadillac and in the GMC Sierra Denali, and underated at 380 hp and 415 ft·lb in the Hummer and in the GMC Yukon Denali .
Applications:
2007+ Cadillac Escalade
2008+ Chevrolet Tahoe
2007+ GMC Yukon Denali/Denali XL
2007+ GMC Sierra Denali
2008+ Hummer H2
Anyone know how to tell if it had DOD from outside?
