Default trans am spoiler on convertible??

anybody ever try to fabricate a trans am rear spoiler on a convertible? i think it would look sweet, alot better than the cheesy firebird style one.

I agree. I sure wish someone would come up with one... soon.

this has been discussed MANY times...
There was a GM commercial a few years back with a green TA vert in the lower corner of the screen it had a coupe spoiler on it. I think it would be outrageously loud with the top down though. Just look at how much wind noise the fugging antenna makes

I would buy it in a heart beat if it would work. It would be a total trunk lid replacement though as otherwise it would just look like rice to the extreme.

I've had the same thoughts on the vert. trunk lid. I'm with Howierd42. Modify the existing lid, maybe extend it like 6" and have it contour upward. I've seen a Mecham T/A non vert. that had a custom trunk lid w/ no spoiler and it looked very sharp. It's something I may do sometime down the road.

I agree with Fast Eddie, the Mecham one would be the look!

I'd buy a trunk replacement with a spoiler exactly like the high-rise one on the t-tops in a heartbeat. I'd keep my original though cause I own a CETA.... though I think in just about every case you should keep your original parts.

There is a guy in my city that got his custom made and it looks sweet. he made it sit 2" higher and streched 2" back. it ended up costins him $8,000 to get it done. i just went with the mecham wing i like a lot.
