Looking at a Vette close to my price range. Is 68k on an 08 too high? I want to do a full exhaust, and cam swap. Anything to be afraid of? Opinions?

If it is a good deal, I wouldn't hesitate. The LS platform if taken care of will last a long time.

Absolutely, pride of ownership and regular maintenance will show when you check out the vehicle in person.

Also, 68K on 5 year old car is about 13,600 miles/year which is pretty average for a DD. If the deal is good and the car is clean, I would go for it.

You can get a value price for the car at Edmunds.com or Cars.com by putting in the features, model, and mileage. You can tell a lot by talking to the owner if a private party sale. Dealers will blow smoke and many won't divulge previous owner. Get a carfax and dealer three month month warranty.

Like someone else said, talk with the owner. They the only owner, or was first bought by someone before them? 68k is not something to be nervous about unless it has been beaten on.

All depends on how many owners and how it was driven

Ok, so first it's a dealer. I hate dealing with dealers. The car has two owners and seems like it was taken care of. Has had a "minor" RF accident with no real visible damage (fender was R/R but lines pook good n paint matches). Minor driver seat wear. Worst is rear bumper cover has been repainted (not on carfax). Problem is i think its a different shade of blue. I know it cr be resprayed but then its a car with multiple paint work done. What do u think? Would this make u guys keep looking...?

Yes. A meticulously maintained car will pop up for a good deal, you just have to be patient and keep searching.

I think the mileage is fine. Just make sure it's in good condition.

get the VIN, go to the dealer and have them pull up the records for the car..

i mean i did that and learned about every time it was serviced, or had an issue... that gives you an idea..

Just something to think about. There's c6s with well over 200,000 and 300,000 miles. C5s with 400,000 plus miles. My last c5 had 126000 miles. Dan flawless after 6 owners. I I stalled my own cam kit I take etc. new owner loves the car. I just bought a 40,000 z51 c 6 manual 6 speed. Headers, intake etc. if the car engine isn't ticking and the psi t is good, clean carfax, I wouldn't hesitate

If is a GM dealer tell him you want it "Certified" that will give you a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. If not I would not buy a car for that amount of money with no warranty. How much exactly are they asking?
