First time at track
This was pretty uneventful but I finally made it to the track for the first time with car so here it is lol! Basically I only got got two n/a runs and both were messed up! I ran a 12.4 @118 with a 2.1 60ft and me kissing the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift. Ill spare you other boring and uneventful details lol. My buddy's 500 rwhp GTO ran an 11.8 @ 120 with a 1.9 60ft, and made a total clean run that time...no hitting rev limiter and whatnot. The car is full weight with heavy *** 17x11chrome rims. Probably would've pulled 119-120 mph myself of I didn't hit the rev limiter. My other buddy ran 13.4 @105 in his lid and catback 02 WS6 with an auto trans. Anyways, the car definitely has the mph and potential but need some clean runs and more seat time to make that happen.
On a side note after the track I raced my buddy's goat on the sauce (we both run a 100 shot, and makes around 600 rwhp on that) and he got me by about half a car from 60-130. I had a passenger and he didnt, but he still would've pulled me a tad I'm sure

Thanks man! Not sure on the DA, may or may not still have slips in car since I was kinda pissed about the whole day to be honest lol, and tires were BFG drags at 30 psi. Car has much more in it...just needs a better driver and more practice lol

Thanks scotty! Basically the track had no air compressor or gauge so I just left tires at 30 psi...that combined with a long drive home I said screw it lol. Prep was horrible, no score board, only let us run for 2 hrs before bringing on bracket racers.. so we just went home lol

30psi? Holy **** batman lol. You need to be dropping down to 18-20psi starting and go from there.
And with an M6 car and DR's you want to try to do a quick slip of the clutch to get the best launch. Takes a little practice to get the feel down but you'll get it after some seat time.
I always bring my portable compressor to the track with me.

No the rear is fine thanks to my godawful 60ft lol.
Actually at 30 psi these tires do really well on the street but I may take them down a bit to see the difference

Btw, any of you know what rwhp I might be making based off a 118 mph trap speed and 3800 lbs race weight? I tried one of the calculators and got 450 rwhp. Does that sound about right roughly? I know they are just a general guesstimate, but I'm curious since I know my car makes more power than what the dyno is saying
