9 Second Pontiac G8 (Turbo 5.3 content)!
I joined the 9 second club after chasing little issues running 10.1-10.2@138-139, main issues were the driver and traction! I knew it had it in her and I finally got it all together and went 9.80@139. Took the cheap route to 9's with a junkyard 5.3L and a homegrown 76mm turbo setup. Yes even with the junk 862 heads, stock truck intake, and stock manifolds.
The track wouldnt hold a normal boosted launch, spun everytime I sent it. So I pulled boost out of it in first gear and poured it on up top to get it to hook. This run was only 13 degrees of timing, just trying to get it sorted out before cranking up the boost and adding timing.
Was nice to drive the car 1.5 hours to the track, send it down and drive home!

I was there in the SoM ws6. That's a bad *** G8 you have there! Loved watching you go faster every run. I was just telling a friend at work who has a turbo 408 Camaro about your runs. Wish I woulda got a video.
I agree track prep could have been a lot better. Mason-Dixon is notorious for that on T&T.
Also loved that sleeper primer grey 64 Falcon on steel rims running 11.2's
