Make sense of my new numbers
Well I finally got back to the track and got a new best, but I am very unhappy with my 60ft times.
First of all here's a little info about the car and conditions. 1998 Firebird Formula, full weight, headers, ORY, catback, air lid, k&n, smooth bellows, on an 11.5" MT ET Street. It got up to 93 degrees and it was HUMID! I'm not sure what the DA was but I wanna say it was between 2500 and 3000 ?
Anyway new best is 13.3 @ 104.39mph w/ a 2.02 60ft. Maybe its just me but that just seems like total garbage. The ET I can understand because of the heat but can I blame the 60 ft on the weather as well or are those bigass slicks probably bogging me outta the hole ?

Not horrible for the time of year, but those tires are costing you in rolling resistance worse than a small drag radial or even your regular street tires. My Formula only get in the 1.9 range when the weather is better than 2000 ft DA, so don't feel too bad.
Lighter wheels, skinnies and a drag radial should net you a good tenth if not more.

I actually felt like the car was pulling as hard as it ever had up top , it felt like a rocket after second gear, but I felt like it was bogging like hell outta the hole.
I agree I think its just way too much tire and I'm already looking for someone I can trade for a 10.5" with. I would have never even considered an 11.5" slick , but I got a great deal on the wheels and tires.
edit: and what do you recommend I start on with suspension? Maybe some HAL QA1's ?? Keep in mind the car is a daily driver

A4? Stock converter? Switch to drag radials or something you have too much tire, especially if you are bogging. Also, why not get a converter? You'd cut a few tenths off easy. I ran faster than that in the summer months here with only a lid, cutout, and 3200 stall (stock tires...1.9 60)

Yes its an A4 on a stock stall. Like I said I know its way too much tire. Now. But like I said I got a fantastic deal on the wheels and tires.
a torque converter is next on my list of mods I just haven't gotten there yet, plus I'm not looking forward to the way it will hurt my gas mileage.

Wow, your car seems low on the mph for your mods. I guess what they are saying about the slicks being too much mass to move is correct. With those mods you should be trapping at atleast 106mph in my opinion.
As stated get rid of the tires. I think some MT DR's would help you out considerably. Get a tune while you are at it.

gas muileage really didn't hurt me that much with my yank, athough i do have a huge 'ram air' intake on my car that picked me up 2 miles gallon, on the highway doing 75 i get about 335 miles to a tank, ~14 gallons, so dont be afraid of the stall

I've had mine for 6 years now. I never noticed any change (obviously there was one around town, but obviously not enough to **** me off). There will absolutly be no change to highway milage. I dont even notice it driving...never did after the first week. I drove a buddies w/o a stall and it felt weird. I get about 200-225 miles out of a fuuuullll tank. I drive 14miles to work through the city, a few miles to school in teh city, then all highway back 16-18 miles. That's 3 days a week, with work and back (city) only the other 2 days. A tank is about a week plus a day for me.
