Best 60ft on street tires
#5
I managed 1.820 with set of firestone wideovals. I've had countless 1.8xx - 1.9xx with the street radials. But even with a good short time with street radials, I'm still losing lot of ET due to spinning all the way up to 3rd gear.

11.95 @115.
I was very please with those times,3 back to back, runs and kept getting slightly better 60 ft's till the 11.95 run and called it quits before getting the boot for no roll bar.

I was thinking that the stiff sidewalls on your typical high performance street tire don't collapse enough to create a larger contact patch with lower pressure, but might even make it worse.

on my first and only trip to the track i pulled a 1.94 60' with some pretty bald 275 firestone firehawks......too bad i missed a shift. the rest of the time i ran a 2.1 and a 2.0 but that is all.
