Default went to the track part 3...

well i went again to the track.. still trying to better my times...
and i did... i got like 6 runs in... my first run was my fastest.. and it seems as my tranny got hotter i got slower... its an a4....

TRACK TIME... my best time was 13.5 @ 103mph
thats my best so far... in the past i was running 14.1-14.3 so its alot better than before... so wat do you guys think? is 13.5 good for 2000 ls1,LT's,3in. custom ory. 3in cutout, magnaflow catback, lid and filter, and free mods....?

The stock A4 gear should be 2.73 or if you have the performance axle option its 3.23. Those are ok times for a stock car, but I think you should probably be in the low 13's high 12's with long tubes especially. I think that your mph should be more in th 108 range, have you changed the fuel filter on your car? I did and picked up considerable power from that and driving it better. went from 14.2 to 13.6 (not all from the filter) But I think you are definately missing some power up top.

Keep Practicing though cause that is what it will take to get fast.

naw bro.. i havnt had a chance to change that filter yet.. i think ima pick one up tomorrow.. i just picked up some tr55 iridiums... ima install those tomorrow... and change the oil... fuel filters are cheap anyways...

bout the axel..well im not sure... it says i have 2:73's but i kno the axle cam from a junk yard or something before i got it. .cuz the cover use to have this yellow writing on it like it came from a junk yard.. and also my rpms are at like 2700 i think it was.. maybe alil less while going 70-75mph... i member i check with my friend that had 3:23's and we were at the same rpm, while going 70mph...so thats how i asummed i have 3:23's... but im still not certain...

You car seems low on power for it's mods. I know the automatics tend to sap some power, but I really think a tune is what you need. You're probably running too rich. I would think that with a tune you could probably gain over 15whp. Don't get a mail order tune, have someone tune it.

For the mph your 1/4 mile time is respectable. I wouldn't call yourself stangkiller though (03 Cobras snack on dudes running your times).

If you are in DFW I would highly suggest SQR for a tune, they did my friends SS and the tune picked up 23 hp with just long tubes on a 99 SS w/ LS1 intake. I would probably look into a tranny cooler, or deep tranny pan if your 4l60e was running hot, they are ok trannys but they arent the best.

I hope to better my best of 13.6 at 102 (street tires) at the end of the month when LMP opens up. I have some ET streets now so maybe 12's if I am really really lucky, but looking for low 13.2-13.3 ish times.

Good Luck.

I just have a ported TB, SLP lid, and Borla cat back all the way open. But my car is a six speed and my times were at HRP in pretty good weather. As far as A4 parts I wouldn't be the guy to ask which is best, but there are plenty of people here who are.

Times range quite a bit from 12 sec to 13 sec range really depending on the tranny and driver. mainly the driver.

Where in Texas are you? I'm in College Station and usually run at the tracks in Central Texas, and sometimes North Texas if I am at my parents house.
