A non-momentary switch is unsafe. You have to manually activate and deactivate it. …If the switch does not have feedback (LED or other easy visual notification), you may not know if it’s on or off. If it’s accidentally switched on (once again, no visual notification), you may be in a surprise the next time you tap your brakes and the fronts stay locked. Picture this happening going down the freeway after your passenger switches it on not know what he did (and you didn’t know he turned it on). ...Clean your car, switch it on with a rag…the next day your battery may be drained and you’re solenoid is burnt up.
Our circuit works similar to how your cruise control works. When you want cruise control, you first have to turn the master switch on. When you turn the master cruise control switch off, it’s impossible to accidentally activate cruise control.
