Goodyear Eagle Slicks?
Does anybody run the Goodyear Eagle Slicks? I'M thinking of going with their 28x10x15 Slick soon. They are cheaper now on some of the online sites.

I've ran them on the fast car, but they were a little bigger. 34.5 X 17 X 16.
The small tire guys have preferred Hoosier & MT for many years.
I use Hoosiers on the Camaro and had great success with them.
Goodyear has focused more on the big boys lately it seems?? Look around the pit's.
Try & count the small tired cars with G/Y. In this case, I would recommend going with the majority.
Good luck.

I was wondering the same thing a few of my friends doing stock suspension class got some free sets to try out and the loved them. They said now I know why the top fuel guys use good years. They had more consistent times was their big thing and hooked up great. I'm going to try the radial 275's next month.

Thanks for the information. I think i am going to try the Eagles for my next slick 28x10x15 size as soon as i can scrape up the cash. They are cheaper now than they used to be online.

There you go, from a couple of experts. The small tire guys have proven G/Y is a distant 3rd on small slicks.
I only know one guy that runs a small G/Y and he's a slower car, 10-11's.
Again, the majority use Hoosier & M/T for a reason. Good luck.

I noticed that also Mike C. I thought the GoodYear Eagle were a good tire. They make one 28x10x15 in a D-3 compound for heavier cars now. For the price i will check them out.

Well for me, I don't hate any of them. I had good luck with all 3.
The issue is, what works the best. On my Camaro, Hoosier worked the best & lasted longer.
On the Pro-Mod, the G/Y & Hoosier both worked about the same.
For a small tire, the huge majority use M/T & Hoosier. They aren't getting them for free.
So they obviously buy what works the best.
If G/Y worked for me, they would be on there, even if they were 10, 50, or 100 bucks more.
