Default Rear end walks when shifting?

I finally made it out to the track tonight, first time with this setup:

28x11.50 M/T ET Streets
Currie 9" with 3:90's
BMR SFC
made my own LCA's with QA1 heim joints
BMR lower panhard rod
(both of the above are double adjustable)
Spohn QA - tunnel mount

So, whether I'm on the street driving to the strip or going down the track, every time i shift, the car shifts the back end around??

Is something wrong? Are my LCA's not right?

Is it the heim joints?
Tall tires?
heim joints and tall tires?

just want to make sure i'm SAFE for friday

Thanks!

also, besides me granny shifting...seriously, it was baaaaaaaapp pause.....baaaaaapppp

and not having my shift light, what should I run? I only clicked off a best of 12.9 at 107 mph (402rwhp - ms3 cam)

but I've had a best of 116mph on street tires...but that was before the cage..suspension..etc added weight

12.50?

Just giving this a bump since I'm putting the car up on the lift to check everything tonight to make sure nothing came loose from the 3 shake down passes last night.

Back to the track friday night.

Have you ever raced on ET Streets before? I know its pretty common for them to "walk" when shifting in a M6 car. It happens to my buddies car every time he shifts it at the track. I would try running some more air in the tires that should help out some.

first time with the ET Streets, but I notice the slight shimmy when I have my street tires on I believe

would it be the Currie 9"? I know ford 9" have different length axles, right?

I used to have that problem on slicks all the time. Went to radials, and never experienced it again

Go underneath your car and twist your driveshaft by hand with the brake off and trans in neutral, you'll see what I mean. You can move the shaft pretty far in either direction before the tires move. When you lift off the throttle to shift, the locker unloads and when you get back on the gas after the shift the locker catches again.

Solution: quit taking your right foot off the floor when you shift, ninny. (j/k)

11's. Detroit lockers suck for m6's.

I had the same thing after my Dana 60 swap. It ended up that I didn't have the end links for the sway bar tightened up good enough.

Maybe you could put the front sway bar back on to reduce the lock/unlock shimmy you can get from a locker.

still have the front sway bar on the car. I was going to take it off this winter when I start putting the car on a diet...I guess I should leave it on!

Any idea what kind of improvements I would see going from an M6 to a th400?

A lot of improvement, and more consitent. I would just pull the center section out and swap in a spool and sell the locker and pocket that money. Thats what I did.
