Default ET Street vs M&H Racemaster "Muscle Car Drag Race" tires vs MT ET Drag?

Has anyone with a mid 11 second or faster stick car (that leaves well) run the M&H Racemaster "Muscle Car Drag Race" tires? I was planning on running the 28x10.5 stiff wall ET Drag but it would be nice to have a slick that I can run on the street. I am looking at the 275/60-15, 28.2" OD, 10" tread width.

Also considering the 28x12.5x15 MT ET Street, 28.2 OD 9.9" tread width.

Would I be giving up any considerable amount by going with one of these DOT tires versus the ET Drag?

Are you asking us which of the drag radials you should choose, or whether or not you should run a drag radial or slick on your car?

I'm just asking about peoples experiences with these different tires. I know that for the best ET I should run the ET Drag, but if I can run the ET Street or the M&H without giving up a significant amount (a whole tenth or more) then I would like to run one of those tires so I can drive to and from the track without getting a ticket or getting hassled by police for running slicks on the street.

I would really consider the hoosier drag radials. They walk around on the big end a little like slicks but they work very well.

I got one for ya, my car would run 11.75 at 118 1.75 60ft on MT ET Street 26x10.5x16. I switched to MT ET Drag 26x10x15 and went 11.75 at 118 with a 1.63 60ft. The Drag just gave me more consistency with changing track conditions. The ET Streets were a little less predictable on the launch.

i dont have any expirence with these "cheater slicks" or full slicks but from what i have seen and read carter's response seems to be most accurate. if it was me i would buy hoosier qtp's slap em on some nice drag wheels and call it a day.

(i say the hoosiers over the m/t et streets just because i love the "hoosier" white lettering lol)

Get DOT Slicks. Drag radials suck with a M6 so dont waste your time. I went from MT DRs to Hoosier QTPs and it knocked over .2x off my 60ft first time out with them. Either ET street or QTPs is what I would go with although I have heard some decent things about M&H.

I'm definitely not running DRs. I am just wanting to know if I would be giving up much by going with a DOT slick over a normal one. I'm all for running a normal slick, but would like to run a DOT if it won't hurt my ET much.

from what the m/t guy says on yellowbullet, the et street are the same compound as the et drags. just a little stiffer sidewall with grooves. I'm gonna try the m&h cheater slicks next.

That's what I always thought but I see guys on here talking about how the ET Street didn't work for them and the ET Drag is so much better...??? LOL

I liked the ET/street. I ran them for 3 years (on my 72 chevelle) the car ran 11's and I drove it to the track and back. They were my only tires for the car. And they hooked well on the street. I plan on running them(as drag tires only)on my 00 SS.

Drags might be a little more consistent but the DOTs will work great and be street legal if you go on a cruise or something.

i've ran hoosier dr's on a few a my cars and some of my buddies run them too and they hook pretty good for a dot tire.
