Default Rear suspension, gears and K member help.

I've searched and found some good info but everything seems so 50/50 so I am hopin that you guys can help me.

I am in the market for a K member and I like the spohn one because it is lighter and because I can use Spohn my solid motor mounts with it. People are saying that they are "flimsy" and they will bend and break if you drive them on the street. Is this true? I drive my car back and forth to the track and cruise in it on the weekends but its not my DD.

Rear suspension: I make 550 on the nitrous Im a 6 speed and I did a search on here and bought what everyone said worked. I am in Iraq so I am trying to complete the parts list so when I get home I can put it all on. I want to leave off the rev limiter on the nitrous IF I can. So here is what I bought and did to accomplish this. Let me know if there is anything I am missing/need.

- Spohn chassis mount T/A. (I forget what its real name is but its the one that is shorter that doesn't mount to the trans, it bolts to the body)
- Double adjustable LCA with the relocation brackets.
- Wolfe rear sway bar. (anti roll)
- Adj panhard bar.
- Strange SA shocks up front with 300lb springs
- I am gonna run the stock springs with QA1 SA shocks on the rear. (I know I need DA)
- Front sway bar delete
- Removed the crash support on the front.
- Relocate the battery to the trunk.
- 2 step rev limiter
- 3 point sub frame connectors
- Line lock
- Chromoly DS (overkill but I got it for cheap so yeah.)

What do you think about this for a wheel and tire setup? Is this what I need?

- 10" wide weld racing pro stars with a 28" X 10.5 Hoosier slick. I know I will have to cut a little bit but Im willing to do that if I need to.

Gear question. I have a Moser 9" with 3.90 gears and the Tru Trac.
I keep reading that people who have 6 speeds run a 4.56 gear with a 28" tire. I also read that with my 150 shot I will run out of gear in the 1/4. Does this mean that I will be shifting into 5th in the 1/4 mile or like the car wont go any faster. Sorry for the noob question. Should I stick with the 3.90 gears or get the 4.56 gears?

Sorry for the long *** post but I just wanna make sure im not missing anything. Thanks guys.

I really dont want to cut anything and strip it bare but I just want a mean, clean, legit street car that hooks.

I think you'll do just fine. I was running stock suspension besides the torque arm with a cam, 150 shot, 6 speed car and 26" tire cutting mid 1.5 60 foot times. In that car I was running 4.10 gears in a 12 bolt leaving around 3800 rpm's. For some reason I can't find the calculator but I think you'll be fine with 4.56 gears if you use the 28" tire.

4.30 with a 28 inch tire would probably work better. noone ever leaves the nitrous pill where they originally say they will LOL.

My best pass on the 150 shot was 10.8 at 124 with a 1.53 60'. With the 4.10 I was pretty maxed out on rpm with the stock bottom I thought but then again I was on a 26" tall Mickey Thompson et street radial.

FWIW I've got 28's with 4.56 gears. I just got longtube headers put on and ran it for the first time. I am almost out of gear since I picked up 3 mph. I had to raise the limiter a few hundred rpm to stay off it through the lights and I'm N/A. With nitrous it would be even worse. Prob go with the 4.30's

I ran 134 MPH with 150 shot, 28x10.5's, 7000 rpm shift points, and 4.10's. I think I could have run up to around 137-138 mph.

Ok so what it sounds like I need is a 29" tall tire and 4.56 gears or a 28" tall tire and 4.30 gears to keep me from having to raise the rev limiter too much. I dont have the upgraded rod bolts so I dont want to push it too hard.

So, having said that, will a 29" X 10 or 10.5 slick fit on my car? I am not lowered at all.

Sorry for all the questions but I appreciate all the help guys.

the "29.0" is for the 28x10.5x15 ETdrag. 3055S. at speed they grow so the 29 works for doing the math. Alex has 4:56s with these tires and has gone 132s and just hits the shift light at 7K. and I posted about myself with 4:30s on these tires, same size your asking about but hooiser

I've also got the 28x10.5x15 stiff sidewall. I had to do some work to get them to fit. Here are some pics of the cutting and hammering I did.

I also trimmed the bumper cover and rolled the lip on the quarter panel.
