Default Another way to mount a transmission cooler

I figured I'd post my idea up for anyone else that has questions about where to mount their transmission cooler. This is for a drag only car as you can see my front bumper support has been removed and the aluminum mounts are being bolted in where it would normally mount. Heres an idea though for you drag guys that remove it too. Its right in front where the air dam pushes air up into, theres plenty of clearance between the cooler and the front fascia as well. I'm gonna paint the aluminum mounts black for good looks tomorrow

Thats exactly how I have mine. Works really well, I never even have to use the fan. I'll post up pictures in a bit.

yeah i think its a lot cleaner than the dope style, and it still puts it in a high airflow location close to where the factory transmission lines go

I need to pick up a cooler, but need to know what size/model would be my best bet.

Any suggestions?

I have mine there now (behind the rear) I am moving it back upfront due to raising the operating temp.

I mounted mine in the front off to the side of my intercooler. There are still 6 inches or so between my I/C and it. It also gets a steady stream of air over it while driving.
