Default Help with sixty!

Lastnight I went to the track and the best sixty I could muster was a high 2.08 or something but my best run of the night was a 13.3 at 105 with a 2.18. That run a duramax called me out that had chip, exhaust and sprayed the living **** out of me! Got me by bout 2. Any suggestions for lauching...only my second time ever going to the track and have only had 5 runs so cant really get a pattern to go with...any hlp would be nice.

Hvaent got the Drag Radials just the 555's..but would some relocation brackets actually give a notceiable gain? Cause the car feels strong and has 12's in it but just cant get the power down off the line.

Drag radials and some practice will help you out.

Well I have like 3 grand saved but my parents DO NOT like the racing would sell my car if he knew I have taken it to the track the two times I have..so the drag radials are way out the question..all the stuff ive bought for it I just bs why I need it.

is it an A4 or M6? A4 and just get a tc in that thing....12s no problem. But if its a M6 you need to learn how to launch it. gonna have to learn to feather the clutch out.

Where in Ga are ya?

Its an a4 with 3.23's...like I said up there parents are not cool with the need for speed and racing so cant go too serious with things like tq,cam, heads, drag radials and stuff...could prolly make up a reason for lca brackets if they be worth it.

Without using drag radials...the best 60' is gonna be in the 1.8-2.0 range i would imagine...at Commerce at least.

for an auto a stall is a must, most gains will be made there, just tell them your torque converter is going bad and you need a new one.

is this their car or yours?

if its yours and you make the payments and insurance, what can the do?

I gave em 6 thousand on it and pay half my insurance..so they make the call and can take it. My dad would sell it in a heartbeat if he knew I ran it at the track or anywhere else. Thinking about getting some hooker headers, catted y, to go with the catback...prolly just get me into even more traction problems.
