Default Track time with our "Street Beast" Project

Well we finally got to hit the track last nite and get some time with this setup. It is our first time out with this car and we are happy with the results.
The track was crowded and we only got in 5 runs, rain has been a bitch the last few weeks.
The setup is as follows
2000 Camaro SS M6
SPEC Stage 5
FFHP Stage 2 5.3L heads (milled .035)
FFHP Annihilator Cam (232/238 .575/.585 110LSA +2)
LS6 Intake
Dynatech Stepped Headers (open)
12 bolt w/spool and 4.11's
Spohn TA, LCA's & Drag Sway bar
28" ET Streets
No Sub-frames or cage
Non-working line lock
Mail order tune
110 octane
3400ish #'s

This was an 1/8 mile strip
We ran a best of
60' 1.717
ET 7.397
MPH 95.75

Temp was 84 Humidity was 71%

The other four runs were all in the mid 7's the worst being a 7.67 and red lighting on one run.

We have a few things to line out with the suspension and the line lock, installing a cage this week and need to get this shift points down. We feel that this car has 6's in her for the 1/8 and 10's in the 1/4 NA.
I'll post a time slip once I get it scanned in.

Default streetbeast??

How streetable is this "street beast"? I noticed it is running open headers and 110octane fuel. That doesnt seem to be very streetable?

I suppose that depends on your definition of streetable and on where you live also. Yes it is on the edge of streetable and when on the street we throw some bullet mufflers on it and use a mix of 93 and 110, plus we live and operate in a small town in Kentucky (can you say gearhead cops?). So for a true "street" setup we would tone it down some, change the LSA to 112 and lower the compression to 11ish.

Thats cool, around here the cops hate anything that is remotely loud. What compression is it running with the current setup?? By the way congrats on the runs.

it is running right at 12.2:1 compression. the cops dont mind the exhaust. hell they are usually the ones giving props on the way the car sounds. now the neighbors are a different story in the neighborhood that i live in. i feel bad for them that is why i now use bullet mufflers if i am not at the track. i also have a 150 nx system on it but i havent sprayed yet. i want to see what i can get all engine before i spray. i feel like with a better 60 foot i will have high 10's with out the nx. i am starting the cage today since without one you cant run any faster that an 11.99 or something without it.

no not at this time we aren't. not even dyno tuned yet, just a mail order tune from Ed Wright. we are about to dive in to the world of tuning soon once we get Dad's (Demon SS) car finished as we will probably go with a FAST system on his setup. If we can ever get it finished
