4.11 or 3.90 gear for A4?
As I'm getting ready to buy my rearend for my 2000 A4 I'm wondering which one is better?
Not a DD.
Sees frequent track time.
More concerned with et over hwy use.
I've done the calculations and 4.11s theoretically work for a 28 tire at 130 mph trap speed at 6500 rpm. Am I going to far?

2000 Z A4 with 50k miles.
Current mods are full suspension, kooks headers and duals, cai, and tune. Car runs 12.80s with stock tire and 2.73s.
The next phase will be tranny upgrade and 3600-4000 stall, built rear end, and drag radials.
After this I'll probably do a cam and intake swap while I build a motor... probably a 402 or 416.
Goal is to run 10s n/a with new motor. Car isn't a daily driver so I'm not worried about too much gear.
