Default wish me luck! Results.. please post comments

Taking my M6 to the 1/4 for its virgin run. As well as mine driving a manual. I'm a regular driving the GTP but this is going to be interesting.

I predict 13.4s tonight... anyone else want to make a prediction?

2000 SS M6

Mods that matter
Hooker exhaust, ORY, LTs
Whisper Lid with Holley Filter
TR55s
Spec 3
Viper Tranny
BMR K member
Every Free mod
Eibach pro kit
18x9.5 Z06 rims

1/2 tank 93 gas

I'm sure there are a few other things I forgot that would
effect drag times. But thats that...

Plan on trying 2500 and roll out of the clutch...

Wish me luck and a safe trip home! I'll update when I get home tonight.

Good luck! Depending on the weather and track prep, you might not reach that goal or better yet you might exceed it. I wish you the later.

Its official... I suck at driving lol. Good weather at around 45 degrees no wind. First run I touch the damn rev limiter on 2 out of 3 shifts.

I cant figure out a decent launch. I ended up holding rpms at around 2300 and rolling out of the clutch. I only got to run 3 times.

Here are the 3 in ORDER of which they occured.

First TIME EVER in a manual....

60' - 2.37
1/8 - 8.97 @ 85.08
1/4 - 13.49 @ 109.32

2nd run

60' - 2.21
1/8 - 8.69 @ 86.09
1/4 - 13.19 @ 109.98

3rd run(last one)Car was its coldest of the night

60' - 2.18
1/8 - 8.67 @ 86.66
1/4 - 13.16 @ 110.29

Now I think I am short shiftin a little.. I do shift into 4th just before the traps. Should I be doing this? Or should I let 3rd ride out? I have a m6 with 3.42s. I do need a shift light bad.

I guess I didnt really expect traction considering I am running 275/35/18 street tires.

But I was a little disappointed since there was a bone stock 01 SS running 13.0@107. He was running a drag radial and pulling 2.0 60's but I thought I should be well ahead of him with my mods. Guess I need that Ls6 intake after all

I do think I am shifting very well. Just BARELY blipping the clutch maybe an inch. The Viper t56 and the Spec 3 felt great.

Let me know what you guys think.. see any problems? I do.. 13s still but I mean other that that...

Now, go ahead and get you some ET Streets or ET Drags and improve on what you've already done. It will take the spinning and clutch issues out of the way and the 12's are not that far away. Rev, Dump and GO. lol and good sailing. And as a word of advise, everybody's "bone stock" might not mean the same as what "bone stock" means to you. I've been 10.60's with a "bone stock" engine (oh- connecting rods that is).

I looked his car over completely. Stock lid, stock baffles, stock manifolds, stock exhaust, Eibach Springs, stock stock stock...

You have 12's with a decent 60'. I say go again, and again, and practice. Those three runs you were showing consistent improvement. Better launch is all you need. You could always step up to a drag radial but I wouldn't recommend anything but street tires on an M6 with the stock ten bolt unless you can afford to fix/replace it....or get a 12 bolt/9".

You did WAYYY better than I did my first time out. I ended up running a 14.2 @ 107 (car was stock back then). Terrible launch, hit the rev limiter, then missed 2nd, all in the same run .
