Seat weight?
I went to the Colonels list and it says 34 lbs.
Is that for the power seats or the regular seat?
I am thinking of going to a race seat, but my Z28 has non power seats to begin with. Do you think it will be worth the money? Or will the gains be minimal?
Thanks

I believe that was no power. Mine manual seats weighed around that number if I remember correctly. I've heard that full power leather seats are around 42lbs. My Corbeua Forza's are 14-15lbs each, and then the brackets are another few pounds. If you plan to put the car on a serious diet, I think that they are worth it.

I just threw it on the scale again. I lied the first time it's really .2 lighter.
These are the single peice seats. Some 4th gens came with different seats that had adjustable headrests, right? The scale should be right, it's my good nitrous refill scale (reads the same as Fed-Ex).

The stockers do feel a hell of alot lighter than they are. Next time I pull my passanger side Corbeau and harness I should compare them to the stock seats and belts. Maybe I'll do it when I rip out the dash in acouple of weeks. I've been putting off that prodject way to long, I'm still dreading it.

I have the cloth, they look exactly like yours. Grey cloth.
Again thanks for the exact weights.
Why would the drivers side be heavier?
I am thinking about going with the Sparco's, the Evo's weigh 16 lbs without the brackets but are nice seats. I am just afraid things are going to add up and I will save 6 pounds for like $700.00 bucks.
That would not be worth it in my opinion.

Yeah, I am still on the fence about this one.
The race seatbelts will work better and fit right through the seats and all, but my main motivation was the weight savings.
I guess I have to do some careful calculations.
