Default anyone ran a 28w on a 4.56 geared m6, need mph info

i do NOT want any info for a automatic people please, i need to know what mph you were turning at about 7300-7400rpm on the 4.56 gear with the 28x10.5W M/T ET DRAGS, i got a good idea what a 4.88 will do by using alans rpm and trap speed and i think that will be a lil much for me. gear calculators will not cut it cause i do not have an exact growth with those tires at that speed, i need real life info please

Thanks in advance

Watch out now.. the tire/suspension police will jump in and tell you how 3 second rail cars can hook on non W tires and if your suspension was made of gold you could do it too.

i understand that but he turned 7800 in the traps and my lil motor aint gunna handle that but ill be traping almost the same mph, so i need 4.56 gears i think, the w's are definaltly worth it, 3-4 of us did a best of a 1.40 on regular 28's and those guys have gone mid 1.3's on the w's now, they are definalty worth it on a stick car

also...I think 4.88 will be too much for you.

I was running 4.71s for most of the year and at 129.x mph it crossed about 7200

1/8 mile track you would be cool but not on a 1/4 mile track.

Rodney. Get the 4.56 gears already. That is the gear/rph ratio I ran when my car was a 6-speed.

I ran 4:56s last year on my setup. Went 128 on motor and 141 on nitrous. Both times with 4:56s and 28s.(Non W) I crossed around 6800 on motor and 7200 on nitrous.
Goodluck man.

last time out i was doing 131.5mph on 4.56's with regular 28's crossing around 6800-6900 how da hell you do 141
i figure i wanna cross 73-7400 but the w's are a lil bigger so im just going to stay wit the 4.56's that are in it for now and see how it works with the w's

It was a long ride in 4th I really needed to back down to 4:30s. I would shift into 4th right at the 1/8 and ride out the entire backhalf in 4th ....

I think you will have goodluck with the combo you are describing. If I can talk myself into keeping my T56 Ill be running Ws and 4:88s shifting around 7500.
