Default What do you think of Protorque converters, any of you using them or have in the past?

Should be performing my TH350 swap sometime next week and was considering going with a Protorque converter and was wonder if anyone out there has used them in the past or is currently using one now. Or maybe knows of someone who using one. Would like some feedback. Looking for a full out custom converter built specifically for one's setup. Thanks.

I have never heard of them. I know my Tranz-King custom convert is killer.

What's the stall on it? How's the efficiency? Do they do full out custom converters because I'll be getting one of their trannys? What size converter is it?

Madman had it built for me. It is a 5,000 stall. I have a turbo 350/convert set up from Trans-king. Works great for me.

Does your speedo work? I'd like to have mine work. Wasn't sure if he can do what's needed to work. Also, does it come with the shifter lever on the trans? I know most of the shifters say that they come with all hardware, but wasnt sure what all it included. When I converted over to a 200-4R, I had to buy the 4L60E shifter, cable, lever, and bracket. Also, on the transbrake, does it come with anything to activate it or is that something you have to buy seperately?

Protorque converters are one of the best you'll ever run if not the best. They are a supper efficiant and well built converter and have rolled cars to a TON of national event wins.

I got to talk to Joe at Protorque, but was busy so it wasnt that long I was on the phone with him. Anyhow, not a lot of you have heard of this company, but some of you have and state that they're one of the best if not THE best, how come those they say they are, dont run one? Just curious. I checked out who their dealers were and the only one that is a sponsor on this site is Cartek.

TApimp, did you order directly through Protorque because I was quoted $895 for an all out naturally aspirated 8" converter which is over double what you paid.

Don't Know...maybe they have had one in the past
I have one now. I just need something to put it into
I also have a PTC...haven't ever run one of those but I got a deal on it so I thought I would give it try. It'll be going in this week.
