Default Hard top VS T-TOP

Hi to you all

Is hard top a plus in drag racing if you want to go eights or less, if so in what

ways?

Thanks.

I believe hard top weighs less, so it will be easier to hit 8s with it (not like 8s is easy lol) but every little bit counts when your going that fast. Also I think it has a little more support in the body. Thats all I can really think of, I know others will know more than I do but thats a start.

Hard top has more structure support, so less power is wasted twisting the body. But T-tops are so much more fun. Screw "track only" cars, get out and enjoy the open air!

I don't know if there is a weight difference, but i specifically looked for a hardtop formula when I bought mine because I knew I was going to make it into a mostly track car, sold my other T-top car.

Around here in GA. T-TOP cars are abundant so I traveled 400 miles to Rockingham, NC to buy my 2002 "NON T-TOP" SS Camaro. After owning a 1977 T/A with Hurst T-TOPS I swore I would never own another T-TOP car again.

Reasons: Wind noise, leaks, flex, and theft.

i'm running t-tops and plan to be in the 9's with ease...

Once you install a 10pt cage it doesnt matter if you cut the whole damn roof off of the car..
