Default Opinions on Desktop Dyno or other simulation software

Im looking at picking up a copy of Desktop Dyno but was curious from people that have already used it how accurate it was and how easy to use. Are there any other "brands" or software worth looking at? I did a search and didnt come up with much. Thanks!

Pipe Max from Larry Meaux seems to be the hot ticket, if I was going to do it that would be my choice.

Desktop Dyno doesn't work well for LSX engines.

Maybe Im missing something here but isnt PipeMax for building headers? I want an engine simulation software program where I can change camshaft profiles, compression, etc for outcome. Ideas? Surely someone out there is using a good program for this.

Nope, you have to put in some different parameters to see how things change up in relation to the changes. Header parameters are just one of the many things the program does according to the limited research i've done regarding the program. Go over to speedtalk, many threads on it over there. Good luck!

Good stuff but pricey, thats what I use too. I like I how you can link the dyno and drag racing sims to get ET/MPH changes as soon as you make engine changes.

Thanks for the replies... I'll do some homework on the ones listed and make a choice.
