I have driven 70+ miles one way to a dragstrip on ET streets before, it can be done. Just don't get pulled over with a non dot approved tire, it's a ticket that you probably don't need.

Arent ET Streets a little easier to drive on? I would imagine so look as if they have a stronger sidewall.

Am I going to need Screws and Tubes?

I would change them at the track, why beat up the side walls on all those pot holes!

Run em w/o tubes you should be fine. The 1st time you get caught in a rain shower on the way home you will regret driving those tires to the track.

Tony, the slicks have a compound that is softer then MT Streets, so you will wear them out much faster and if someone just spits on the street hang on to your ***! If you do drive to and from make sure you air up for the street.
The tubes weigh about 6 pounds and that calculates to about 90 pounds of unsprung weight on your rear tires - you don't need that.
Scews are not necessary for the hp you are putting out. Just be careful when you have the slicks mounted that they "don't" use tire mounting compound, it is slippery ****, that will cause the tire to slip on the rim. Have them use soap and water and wipe it off the tire and rim before seating the tire to the rim. Best is find a place with new tire mounting equipment where they don't have to use anything.
Hope this helps you out.

ET streets SUCK in the rain that I am 100% of. The drags will suck just as bad, and wear out qucker on the street... I'd change them at the track if I were you, but you don't have to... just gonna go thru them alot quicker if you dont. look at it like this, a pass at the track is 1/2 mile, 1/4 in each direction... that's 60 passes for a round trip to teh track and back... alot of uneeded wear.
