Don't know why you would. The stock one is pretty light stripped down or you can get a fiberglass one. Also some EFI races call for stock appearing interiors so you may not be able to race in certain events.

I personally would do the stock or fiberglass dash and do some aluminum inserts around the guages and the hvac controls if aluminum is the look you're going for. Maybe you could make the top piece out of the aluminum w/o too much trouble but the sun glare might be a problem.

My idea was to use the top piece and from aluminiun around that, then square it off at the bottom so that the door panels won't look out of place. Or just replace the panels with aluminiun ones.

take in mind aluminium reflection on the windshield on your design...
