I fixed the title for more responses. You might want to mention auto or stick (although I'm guessing auto from your sig), what your current mods are and what your current gears are.

I certainly wouldn't want to "gain" any time....if anything, I'd want to lose it.

The faster you want to go, the less time you're going to spend on the strip.

With good traction I would imagine at least a few tenths.

I say a drop of a tenth and a gain of 2 mph for a bolt-on car.

If you can hook it off the line with 4.10's it will 60ft better and it will run stronger the whole pass but it will be more efficient the last half of the pass... What does it run now? I run a 4.10 in the Camaro, and I used to run a 4.10 in the Formy when it was NA.

26's + 4.10's + 4400 stall = strong motor setup, the 28's will be on the tall side unless you are making a lot of power or the car is real light.

why w/ the 26's? I had a tr224,3.73s and 4k stall and I would spin all the time. Would 27's be better?

Going 1" taller on a tire isn't going to give you a huge edge in the traction factor.

If you can't hook on a 26 a 27 isn't going to be much better, I'd look more into getting the chassis tuned a bit before swapping tires.

Just consider how fast people have gone on a 26x10 tire, pretty damn fast

That's definately in the works. But if he doesn't have the 26's why not go w/ 27's?

What does your car 60 on the 26's? Let's start there. And what is your suspension setup? I went 1.50 on 26's six years without knowing how much on dialing in that stuff. I went 1.48 with my motor setup in the Camaro with too much tire and not enuff converter, I was not spinning I didn't have enough power to run 1.3 short times.

Id like to get this thread going again, and maybe ask a few questions..

The 60 in my sig was on a 255/50/16 MT DR and on a stock 16" wheel.

I just purchased the rear 15+10 bogart RT's (I all ready had the fronts) and I am trying to decide what size tire to go with.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
