Need to eliminate lean at launch! (pic)
Here's my 1.607 60' launch this past weekend.
With this much lean I need stronger rear anti-sway bar. I will try more air in my air bag first.
I am holding traction but would less lean improve 60'?

do you have subfram connectors? if not, that would be the first thing to try. and as long as both tires stay hooked i dont see why that ahs any effect on 60'. i would be worried about my ttops flying off though.

Looks like your getting body twist wheather you think you are or not because if your twisting that bad with stock wheels on the front to lift the tire on a 1.60 60ft. then you need subframe connectors but if you insist you don't then you will end up like me and bust the instide of the door panel. Subframes will cut down on the twist and may help you 60ft. just a tad but no worse.

A little more air in the air bag is a whole lot cheaper than having subframe connectors welded. Assuming it's lean and not chassis twist.
I have several dozen 1.57-1.60 60' times on the car now with no visible damage or deformation. This is the first time I realized the drivers side tire was lifting. First time I've seen a photo of my launch.
I don't have T tops so that not an issue.

I had a lot of the same problem. When I put the Moser-12 bolt it, I went with the spool. Not very street friendly going around corners, but oh well. Any way since than, both lift about the same. -- How about some skinnies up front

Navy David SS,
I would like the gains skinnies would give me but I sure like the factory look. I'm sure these old heavy wheels/tires are costing me et but I can sure surprise a few as well as my "stock" Camaro runs. Some of these 60's trailer guys get a shock when I can equal or beat them.
I ran a 7.37 @ 92.08 mph 1/8 mile. That's an 11.6 or so at a 1/4 mile track.

Okay, I always have to be the guy that recommends the expensive crap to everyone...so here goes! Ditch the bag and get a.......
Wolfe Racecraft Rear Sway Bar. To put it into the simplest terms...its the best. $400 plus about 2 hours of labor. Its the hands down best. My buddy Jeff hit a 1.37 with his, and I hope to be right around a 1.45 with mine.

My Formula used to cut 1.4s perfectly flat, without any drama. I had my HAL shocks set at two clicks firmer on the passenger side, and 20 psi in the airbag. Stock rear swaybar, no front swaybar.
Bump that PSI up Larry, although I don't think it will improve your 60' any since you have traction as it is.

Fast SS on TNT,
I know the Wolfe would fix my problem but if more air will do the trick that's a little cheaper.
Tony,
Looks like you might have had a slight lean too but can't tell for sure if your passenger side tire is off the ground. If more air in the air bag doesn't help then I think I'll invest the money in a Wolfe rather than Hals. I learned from the Mustang that you can't beat a good rear anti-sway bar for keeping the car level.
