Default Kirkey Pro Street Drag Seat

How are you guys mounting your Kirkey race seats?
Will the seat mount #99204 that they offer have to be fabricated in anyway? Any info, pics and helpful tips appreciated. Thank you.

The seat mount that they have isn't long enough to bolt into the stock location. We made a bracket for mine. It's a little overkill, but it works, and is safe.

bolt it on the floor and to the back of the cage. Use the back to 2 stock seat studs to attach the seat to the floor, then support the back by the rollbar.

I'm using custom made brackets, and I have the seatbacks bolted to my roll cage:

I would use two pieces of tubing with tabs welded on it to reuse the stock mounting bolts and then the seat sits on the tubing and you weld tabs to the side of the tubing to secure it by drilling through the side of the seat once it is in the position you want.

You can also bend the tubing to manipulate the hight, some people like the seat super low, while some people that are not tall will like it mounted up higher.

I'd lower my seat more if I could, with my helmet on, my head rests against the bar going across the t-top (top part of thethe cage)

I have the steel mount welded on cage, and the use the Aluminum Mount, trim it and bolt it to the back of the seat, and bolt other side to the mount thats welded to the cage.

Thats what I did too, but I feel like a 5 year old sitting in the car cause I'm so low.

With my mounts I can barely see over the dash. For bracing, I just used the Jegs special. Worked great.
