LS1 Swapped Mustang EPS 234/246 Results!
Finally after a long 6 month build I put my 1993 Mustang Coupe on the dyno at Race Proven Motorsports for a full dynotune.
Mods
2002 Ls1/T56
LS6 Intake
Stock 241 heads
Kooks 1 3/4" long tubes into 3" true duals and magnaflow tru-x muffler
SLP 25% U/D pulley
EPS 234/246 .601/.606 112+3 cam
Stock injectors
Stock untouched throttle body
Stock de-screened MAF
4.10 gears
28" tire
E.T. Street Slicks
Mcleod Twin Disk
Car made great power with the final numbers being 417/389 which are pretty stout cam only IMO. Car made 17 more HP then my CTS-V on the same dyno with the mods in my sig on motor.
Car runs and drives great and has a pretty good chop at idle. The tune definetly made driveability way better and I get very very little bucking at low RPMs. I'm happy with the car and how easily it will spin the slicks from a first gear roll. I have better suspension to throw on the rear already but it does have UCA, drag shocks, air bags in it already. Car "should" be knocking on the door of a 10 second pass since it will likely weigh in at under 2800lbs.
I will scan the dyno sheet when i get a chance. Any questions feel free to ask.

dyno sheet attached
BTW tuner said i was just on the edge with the stock injectors and he could see the ls6 really struggling to keep up and suggested my next mod to be a FAST 90/92 and 42lb injectors. I will probably just go straight to 150 shot over the winter.

Still have a few things to work out but will be at the track in the fall. Here are a few other pics in my build thread. I have a ton on my facebook page like 100+.

wow that's impressive! nice numbers. But that big of a cam on stock injectors?
I asked while it was on the dyno and he said they were ok but if I do anything else like a fast go to 42s. Before it even went on the dyno I asked and they said if it needs them they have 42s in stock they will throw in if need be but it didnt.

Feel free to disagree, but I think this post sums up well how a fast intake is not worth the expense while having heads that do not flow enough to take advantage of the FAST.

And they also recommended a FAST intake over better cyl heads..... Sounds a little backwards don't you think. Putting a FAST intake on poor flowing heads is like installing headers on a car with a pinched exhaust pipe.

So your claiming that because a stock auto 346 WITHOUT a cam at all didnt gain with a ported FAST 102 that someone with a large cam wont stand to gain anything as well. Get out of here. I wont do a FAST because i cant see the $1000 for the amount of power Id get(15rwhp) but your post doesnt prove anything. Even with a set of great heads, the LS6 intake is gonna choke them out as well anyways so doign heads would be somewhat of a waste as well without a FAST.
My point was you stated your tuner recommended a FAST intake as your next step, which is backwards when the heads would give you a far larger gain than the intake for the same money. And in another post you stated you will listen to your shop/tuner because they build some of the fastest lsx cars in the country. So it seemed backwards. I agree with you that the LS6 will choke the setup, but it isn't choking it as much as the heads.
We are on the same page here dude.
Very nice car, I love those calypso notch's.
