Default 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray Ignition Wire Upgrade

Follow along as we baseline our 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray on our dyno and install a set of our "0" OHM ignition wires (28-1545HTRB). After changing the wires, we noticed an average gain of +11.75HP/14.0TQ.

So GM is skimping on plug wires in their $60,000 flagship model to save about $20?

Never really paid much attention to "wire upgrades" but these results are compelling.

Why do the oil change at the same time and not make it a 100% apple to apples comparison? Some oil like redline claim those kinds of hp gains. Im sure they are great wires.

Even if someone in their right mind would pay $200 on a set of wires, that's only the retail per set basis. I'm sure GM purchasing thousands and thousands of these for all their Gen V engines would pay a helluva lot less.

They're skimping on more than just that. They also have Korean Wheel bearings, since Gm gave our contract away. I used to make them for vette/xlr, but now we just do service parts at our New Departure Plant. I'm sure your comforted to know your life is in the Koreans hands at 200 mph!

From the website:

Customers have reported up to 15HP (normally aspirated) & 35HP (s/c, turbo, & nitrous). Average gains on an otherwise stock motor are 5hp N/A and 12 to 15 with factory forced induction

The video shows the stock wires are 808 ohms. My OEM ls1 wires are 350 ohm. I guess GM has added resistance. I assume newer cars may see more benefit.

If I got a set of these I'd be more than happy to test them on our C7. The car dyno's very consistant right now. Back to back at the same engine/ intake temps.

Please do, I need to buy plug wires soon. I have just been a little skeptical of the actual results from these wires. If they actually produce hp or mileage gains they would be a no brainer for my dd ls car.

Nice to see those results! I bought a set not too long ago, glad to see they live up to the hype.
