Default How much power will i gain w/ this?

im building a carbed ls1, using the same parts they used in popular hotrodding mag. when they dynoed the ls1 to see how much power they would get. with this setup it made 503HP@ 6600rpm and 449 ft-lbs

hooker long tube headers
meziere electric wp
edelbrock intake
demon 750 carb
GMPP gen 3 hotcam: 219/228 @50 525/525
ls6 valve springs
march underdrive pulleys

so i want a lil more power and i was thinking about getting a set of aftermarket heads, i was looking at 2sets i was wondering what u guys would recomend between afr's 205cc, dart205cc, or the new edelbrock's. any input and power increase numbers would be great thanks.

If you're going to go with a 500+rwhp setup I'd say go with the AFRs. They've proved themselves on here quite a bit. The Darts are still new and not nearly as many solid, consistent numbers have been seen. I haven't heard anything on the new Edelbrocks.

for ignition i got the stock coils on, and the carb intake comes with an msd box kinda like the msd 6aL box and it controls the crank cam and other sensors so thats basically it. i guess afr's r looking good. lol

The lift on the hot cam is .025 bigger than a stock cam you need at least .575 or bigger to get some real power from that set up.

Is the intake a single plain or dual????? That would also determan what cam I would select.

yup you'll need the extra lift for the aftermarket heads...
