Default Is it possible to put down 430-440hp with tr224?

All mods in sid with tsp ls6 heads and a fast 90/90 intake setup. Dyno tune by Finish Line Performance. Did 397hp and 386ftlbs with mods in sig only.

speed density tune will help a bit out too probly make it idle and drive even closer to stock than a maf'ed 224

I made 420 RWHP with a TR 224, FAST 90/90, and JPR S2 LS1 heads.

I would hope your TSP heads would be worth at least 10 HP over my old JPR heads- which became notorious for flowing much less than advertised.

Good luck!

Lots of people have made that kind of power with those mods. There was a thread in here awhile back and there were cars in the 415-430+RWHP range with 224 cams.

i made 425 rwhp and 408 rwtq with a 224 cam, stage 2 katech heads through pace setters. That was before my current setup though.

That was with a 78mm lsx intake and s3 throttle body, so with 90 mm intake/tb it should make at least 5 rwhp more or so.

Plus my a/f was at 12.3, so im sure I could have done it if we leaned it out a bit too.

If you don't gain 33+ rwhp from heads and FAST 90/90 setup somethings wrong. I think you'll hit that no problem. Post back with the results man!

Ahhh, thats my graph. The tune is what put me there, but I also have stock rear with stock gears. I noticed you have a bigger rear. But you should be close if the tuner knows there stuff.

With a 12 bolt rear, denny's nitrous ready driveshaft, and H&C (224/228) I put down 426. Since then I have switched from SLP LT to Stepped Kooks, stock firehawk cat-back to a 3" X-pipe, LS6 intake to a Mamo ported Fast 90 intake with a 90 NW TB,injectors, fuelpump, fuel rails, and some other stuff. So I know I'm over 440rwhp so it can be done with the right matched parts

Yep, I guess those heads weren't so bad after all. Also made 400 RWTQ on my car, which was real impressive.

420rwhp thru cats and 3 year old Patriot 5.3's. The cats dropped me 9rwhp when I was cam only vs ORY. A portmatched F90 and ORY would put my setup up about 20+rwhp.
