Retune and re dyno {408}
Well i made the 230 mile drive to Dez racing to have Slowhawk tune my 408. First i'll start off with the old #'s when the car was tuned in NJ 512 rwhp 484 rwtq, and allways a check engine light on New #'s are 530rwhp 474rwtq. Only change was i had my heads milled from 69cc to 66cc and put in a 160 thermostat. But i will say that this is one of the few times that i have gotten the type of service that i would give to another, Slowhawk did a great job and i would definitly recommened him to anyone. Thanks to Slowhawk and the guys at DEZ racing

heads got milled cause my head gaskets were leaking and i wanted a little more compression for my cam. As far as the tq loss i gained tq in all areas except peak, and slowhawk had told me upfront that there dyno is lower than the previous dyno i had been on. Also this was all done with my car at 190f, I'm sure if we ran the car at a lower temp it would have made more HP and TQ and i am not sure how my first #'s were achieved cause i was not at the dyno when it was tuned the first time

I'll start that my Dyno is not a dream Dyno.It does pretty good and dictates the track times. The #'s are what he drives on.It was tuned at 190' engine temps and no high (dyno) timing.We don't BS #'s by cooling the engine a ton or adding timing for a run. A/F is around 12.7-1 with 27 degree's of timing.The car has awesome midrange power.

How do you like that Cam Motion grind? I've been thinking of going with it. The compression thing reminds me--do you know the numbers at .006" for the cam? --Thanks!

My cam card does not have the #'s a .006 but i could call cam motions and give them the cam # and get the info if you want
But, do you know how much advance was ground in or set during installation?

I've got a very similar setup, could you pm me when you get some track times? Mine went 11.00 on motor, at 3550 raceweight. My tune is off though, so I'm wondering how much I'm leaving on the table.
